Why cant you included soccer in the Olympics? If there is basketball and a whole bunch of other sports already in it.. why not soccer? Soccer has more followers on the earth, plus there is a world cup dedicated so  many countries can compete against one another. Basketball is important don't get me wrong but the Olympic games were created to unite countries through athletic feats. With that in mind it makes sense logically to have a sport as widely popular as soccer to be in it.

I know that if you include soccer the other question people will ask is why not this sport or that sport. It would be difficult to include every sport and just throwing it in to satisfy a single country isn't the idea of the games. Like I said before the games are a place to unite and compete in very popular games. Letting games that are popular is my key argument here, cause such games like soccer are in that category.
